Q & A with Karah Standridge
When asked her favorite part of her job, “I’d say my co-workers for sure! Meeting all the new hires…..” this is Karah Standridge, XCEL NDT’s Office Manager. Organized and a joy to be around, Karah’s role at XCEL NDT is everything from booking flight and hotel reservation to the human resources details for all XCEL employees and much in-between. Below are Karah’s answers to a couple questions.
Question – What is your favorite part about your job?
Karah – There are so many things. I’d say my co-workers for sure! Meeting all the new hires and seeing the diversity within the company. My job is different every day, I never know what to expect from day to day, therefore it is exciting!
Question – What sparked your interest in working in NDT (or the department you are in)?
Karah – When given the awesome opportunity to join the XCEL Team, I was originally excited to do something different than what I had done before. I had previous office experience, but not in this capacity. I’ve learned so much in the last year, and I can’t wait to keep going!
Question – What’s your leadership philosophy?
Karah – Lead with positivity, understanding, and a willing attitude to help out in any way you can.
Question – Outside of work, what are your interests/hobbies?
Karah – Hiking; Making memories with my 10-year-old son; Spending time with friends; and Shopping
